SheetAI offers a Free plan that includes 50 AI function calls per month — no credit card required. For heavier usage, the Unlimited plan is available for $8/month, which removes the call limit entirely.

If you use your own API key (OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic), you will also pay the respective AI provider for token usage. Most casual users spend less than $1/month on API costs.

You can write prompts in any supported language, and the AI will respond in that language. You can also use SheetAI to translate content between languages directly in your spreadsheet.

Yes. Your API key is stored in a secure container within your Google account using Google Apps Script's PropertiesService. It is never transmitted to or stored on SheetAI servers.

API calls are made directly from Google's servers to the AI provider (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic). SheetAI's own servers never see your API key or your spreadsheet data.

Anyone you share your spreadsheet with as an editor can use the SheetAI functions in that sheet. However, all API usage will be charged to the spreadsheet owner's API key, not the collaborator's.

If you are sharing a sheet with many editors, keep an eye on your API usage to avoid unexpected costs.

SheetAI requires the following permissions to function:

• Connect to an external service — needed to send prompts to AI APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) and receive responses.
• Display third-party web content — needed to show the SheetAI sidebar panel inside Google Sheets.

SheetAI does not access, store, or share your spreadsheet data beyond what is needed to process your AI function calls.

You can install SheetAI directly from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Click "Install", grant the required permissions, and the add-on will appear under the "Extensions" menu in Google Sheets.
