Google Sheets provides an easy way to create a drop-down list for your spreadsheet. This allows you to quickly select from a list of options, rather than typing in the data manually. In this blog, we’ll walk you through the steps to create a drop-down list in Google Sheets.
- Open the Google Sheet you wish to add the drop down to.
- Select the cell or group of cells in which you want the drop down list to appear.
- Click on the “Data” tab at the top of the screen.
- Click “Data Validation” from the drop-down menu.
- Under the “Criteria” section, select the “List from a Range” option.
- In the “Range” field, enter the cell range that holds the list of items you want to appear in the drop down menu.
- Click “Save” to apply the data validation.
- Click outside of the cell to save the changes and view the drop down menu.
